A blessing: Analysis

A Blessing, by James Wright.

This poem means:
On the way to Rochester, Minnesota, beside the highway, the speaker and his/her friend spotted two Indian ponies. When the speaker and his/her friend stepped closer, the ponies came out to meet them with excitment. They had been feeding all day long, alone by themselves. They bow shyly, and the speaker realized they are very lonely and that they love one another dearly. The ponies went back to feed on the grass, while the speaker thinks that he would like to hold the pony that lookes slenderer, that is black and white because she had walked to him and nuzzled his/her hand. The speaker realizes that after caress the pony's long ear, that her ear is soft and delicate. The speaker at last realizes that he has changed, got realization, and he learned love and that if she/he stepped out of his/her body, he would become a blossom, a whole new person.
